Inside Tudor

In February 1926, Hans Wilsdorf had the trademark “The Tudor” registered and started making watches bearing that signature on the dial. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand a proper identity of its own. On 6 March 1946, he created “Montres TUDOR S.A.”under the ideal of creating a watch that offered the same quality features and dependability of Rolex at a more accessible price-point.

The history of TUDOR

“For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the TUDOR watch company.”

- H. Wilsdorf

A rugby game at the highest level where the All Blacks play is no walk in the park. That's why it is called a Test match, because it tests you in every way: it tests your physicality, skill level, endurance and mental ability to perform under pressure. The All Blacks show they are ready and up for anything when they perform the haka, the world-famous, awe inspiring Maori dance before every Test match. The All Blacks perform the haka as a statement of who they are as New Zealanders and who they represent.
